A new star is born with the ZENITH DEFY Skyline Tourbillon

Manufacture ZENITH has created a new prestige watch with the DEFY Skyline, featuring a high-frequency automatic tourbillon caliber. Two versions of this model are available, one in steel and the other in black ceramic. Molitor unveils this new ZENITH model.

Ever more technical prowess

Like all El Primero movements, the one equipping the new DEFY Skyline Tourbillon beats at a high rate of 5 Hz (36,000 VpH), ensuring optimal chronometric performance with high shock resistance. The El Primero caliber 3630 offers a 60-hour power reserve. Located at the bottom of the dial, the kinetic element is visible through an aperture. The tourbillon takes the form of an open four-pointed star and makes one revolution every 60 seconds. The watches come with a stainless steel or black ceramic bracelet, but a second option is available with a second blue or black rubber strap with folding clasp.

The two ZENITH DEFY Skyline Tourbillon models

The new models feature a 41 mm case in stainless steel or black ceramic. The watches combine the bold aesthetics and singular architectural lines of the DEFY Skyline with a tourbillon mechanism. The metal dial features a sunburst and star motif. Both steel and ceramic versions display the tourbillon at 6 o'clock. The rhodium-plated hour-markers on the blue dial and the rose gold-plated hour-markers on the black dial, as well as the hands, are luminescent for maximum legibility in any situation. Decorations on the tourbillon, such as the côtes de Genève, give it depth. The star-shaped rotor adds a contemporary touch to this precious timepiece.
