The TAG Heuer Carrera watch celebrates its 60th anniversary

It is a model that has become mythical, the famous Carrera watch is celebrating its 60th birthday this year! This is a historic event for the watchmaking company, which wanted to honour this line by offering new models and by creating a campaign with the actor Ryan Gosling. Molitor tells you more about the latest models from TAG Heuer and reveals the advertising film celebrating this incredible event.

The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph

The Carrera chronograph combines the complication of the same name with the world of motor racing, which is dear to the watch brand. The four new chronographs are offered in two different diameters: 39 and 42 mm. The watches feature three counters with date, as well as a domed "glass box" sapphire crystal. The 39 mm timepieces are equipped with the TH20-00 calibre (guaranteeing a power reserve of 80 hours), while the 42 mm watches are powered by the Heuer 02 calibre. For the dial, you can choose between grey and blue.

The TAG Heuer Carrera Date

Here is a novelty that did not go unnoticed at Watches & Wonders. It is the Carrera Date proposed in a 36 mm format with colours that make you smile. Indeed, the watch is available with a silver, green or blue dial or, for the more daring, with an intense pink. All the versions in the range are equipped with Calibre 7, an automatic movement with a 56-hour power reserve. With the Carrera Date, you no longer have to choose between design and performance.

The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon

For lovers of the Tourbillon complication, TAG Heuer unveils the 42 mm Tourbillon Chronograph, once again demonstrating the legendary expertise of the Swiss company. This model is equipped with the Heuer 02 Tourbillon calibre with automatic winding, providing a 65-hour power reserve.

With a complication you would never suspect

The new Piaget Polo perpetual calendar is impressively slim. Yet it incorporates one of the most prestigious complications. It is equipped with a perpetual calendar with moon phase. This means that the timepiece has the ability to display the date, day, month, moon phase and leap years without the need for any correction before 2100. The extra-thin calibre 1255P is only 4 mm high with a case thickness of only 8.65 mm.

Finesse, the history of the Manufacture

Since 1874, Piaget has built its success and reputation on very fine components. It was then that it decided to work on flat movements. In 1960, Piaget dazzled watch lovers with the 12P calibre, considered at the time to be the world's thinnest. These mechanisms, which have become iconic, have inspired the watchmaking house and made it surpass itself year after year. In addition to its impressive technical performance, the watch has a pleasing design with its emerald green dial. It features three sub-dials that display the day, month and date. They are placed at 9, 12 and 3 o'clock. The moon phase appears at 6 o'clock. The signature of the Piaget Polo: the gadroons are again placed on the green interchangeable rubber strap.
