Zenith’s defiant new creation, the Defy Skyline

Coinciding with LVMH Watch Week, Zenith presented us with a new watch, the Zenith Defy Skyline, a sports watch equipped with the El Primero movement. Here is a closer look at this sensational timepiece.

The El Primero calibre

The Defy Skyline houses the new El Primero 3620 calibre. The seconds hand is connected directly to the escapement, beating at a frequency of 5 Hz, i.e., 36,000 vibrations per hour. The calibre builds up a nice 60-hour power reserve, and thanks to the transparent case back, you can see the star-shaped oscillating weight. The timepiece is water resistant to a depth of 100 metres. It features central hour and minute hands and a date window at 3 o'clock.

In keeping with the original Defy

At first glance, the latest addition proudly displays the lines of its predecessor. The Defy Skyline has a multi-sided bezel and the distinctive angular case. Meanwhile, the blue sunburst dial is decorated with engraved four-pointed stars that are a clear nod to the brand's logo in the 1970s. The 41 mm octagonal case is crafted in steel and incorporates a screw-down crown that ensures that the watch enjoys great water resistance. The timepiece comes with a satin-brushed steel bracelet. A second option is a rubber strap with a starry sky pattern. This outstanding creation boasts excellent water resistance, an extraordinary movement and a unique design. A look that will make your eyes sparkle and does much more than simply recreate the past.

The Zenith Defy Skyline is currently available at our Molitor shop. Come and discover it.
