Hublot: a return to the origins with the Classic Fusion Original

The 80's are not the years that most marked the watchmaking universe, yet at that time the Hublot company made a name for itself. The model that made it famous is now being reissued for the more nostalgic. Let's admire together the evolution of an iconic model that has been able to stand the test of time and adapt to our era: the Classic Fusion Original.

A model from the 1980s

If you were already born or are a true watch enthusiast, you will agree that the 1980s were not the best years for watchmakers. But among the watches worth mentioning and highlighting is a Hublot 36mm yellow gold watch with a smooth and shiny black dial, a rounded bezel with twelve studs like a closed porthole. The whole is completed by a black rubber strap. It marks its time and meets a great success, it is declined in steel, or with a chrono. It eventually disappeared and was reborn from its ashes in 2004, thanks to the avant-garde vision of Jean-Claude Biver. He wanted to highlight the very concept of the watchmaking house by offering exclusive and unique watches that did not use noble materials. The first great successes came with the Big Bang and the Classic Fusion.

The Classic Fusion Original, a watch with a future

This year, Hublot seems to want to combine the past with the future by offering us the new Classic Fusion Original. All the graphic codes have been integrated, although the logo has been modernised. The watches are declined in gold, titanium and ceramic in three sizes that will allow all wrists to enjoy them (33, 38 and 42 mm). The 6 mythical screws that close the bezel are also present. The black dial gives a minimalist look to this timepiece. We let you discover these watches with your own eyes below.
