Cartier celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Pebble
Retro models are very popular, and Cartier is well aware of this fact. This year, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of an iconic model, Cartier is relaunching a marvel from the 1970s: the Pebble. Lucky for us, the iconic watch featuring an audacious and unique design has been brought up to date. Let’s take a look at the Cartier Pebble.

A watch designed by Jean-Jacques Cartier
The Pebble was a model designed by Jean-Jacques Cartier. His idea was to create a watch with a square delicately nestled in a circle. The dial has sword-shaped hands, Roman numerals and a railway minute track, all typical of Cartier. The watch is both unique and rare, given that at the time only six units were produced. Enveloped in a halo of fascination, Cartier decided to relaunch the timepiece this year.
An interpretation that is true to the original
Cartier has maintained the overall lines of the Pebble, giving it an 18-carat yellow gold case and 36 mm diameter. The dial comes in an “eggshell” beige colour that adds a touch of warmth. The 430MC movement drives the 2022 Pebble. The calibre is ultra-slim and hand-winding, oscillates at 21,600 vibrations per hour and builds up a 38-hour power reserve.

The timepiece is in keeping with the Cartier spirit, i.e., it is both elegant and original. Unfortunately, the model is not available at our shop; nevertheless, we look forward to helping you discover all the iconic watches by Cartier.
