90 candles for the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso

Time goes by, but the Reverso endures and has not aged a bit ! In 2021, it is celebrating its 90th anniversary. To celebrate the event, the brand is launching an anniversary model that will captivate all those who love this iconic model. A closer look at this timeless watch.

Origin of the Reverso

It was in 1931 that Swiss watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre sought to design a watch that could withstand shocks. At the time, in India, British army officers were avid polo players. The watchmaker decided to create a model that would become iconic. The principle was simple: offer a watch with a reversible case, thus preventing potential blows. It was an ingenious idea that did not take long to earn fans. The Reverso was born, a timepiece whose attractiveness was not only the ingenuity of its creator. Indeed, during this Art Deco period, the watch featured simple and elegant geometric lines, making it appealing to both men and women. The Reverso went on to become more customisable, intimate and captivating.

Such longevity is worth celebrating !

A unique model that has transcended the ages is now celebrating its 90th anniversary. To mark the occasion, the watch brand decided to revisit its iconic Reverso by launching an anniversary edition, the Reverso Tribute Duoface Fagliano.

Beauty is in the details

The Reverso Tribute Duoface Fagliano is equipped with hand-winding calibre 854A/2 with 19 jewels and a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour. The case is crafted in pink gold, measures 47 x 28.3 mm and features the model’s three emblematic gadroons. As for the manufacture of the leather strap, Casa Fagliano was not chosen at random. The enterprise has been making artisanal polo boots for over a century. It is details such as these that make this model a stunning timepiece.

Change the dial like you change your shirt

Inspired by the Duoface dual time zone complication and the minimalist design of the Tribute collection, Jaeger-LeCoultre’s latest addition has two dials, one on each face.

The first features a burgundy sun-brushed dial with pink gold hands and indexes. Meanwhile, the second has an opaline background in addition to a Clous de Paris guilloche finish surrounding a central time display. Two distinct dials that will allow you to change your look according to your mood.
